| If you answer YES to any of the following, you should discuss with your GP or Practice Nurse whether you need a Dexa Scan. |

- Have you had a previous broken hip or wrist?
- Do you have a family history of osteoporosis?
- Did your mother break a hip?
- Have you had to take Prednisolone or other steroid tablets for more than 3 months?
- Do you have Rheumatoid Arthritis, Hyperthyroidism, Chronic Liver Disease, Malabsorption or Hyperparathyroidism?
- Do you weigh less than 58 kg (9 st)?
- Did you have your menopause before the age of 45?
- Have you ever had anorexia nervosa?
- Do you smoke?
